Biography and Qualifications
Katrina Warren is the CEO and founder of Alexandrian Consulting, LLC. She built this firm to inspire and support other minorities, with a focus on African Americans, in reaching their travel goals. After seeing the lack of diversity in international tourists, she decided to share both her experiences and extensive knowledge of the travel industry with the hope of getting more people that look like her the resources to explore the world.
She has always been passionate about travelling and has travelled to over 35 countries. Her travels have included studying abroad in the UK, volunteering teaching English in Malawi, and volunteering at an animal reserve in Zambia. Additionally, she took six month sabbatical to backpack through Europe and Asia. Katrina is an experienced solo traveler who has 10 years of solo travel experience. Most recently, she returned to the US after working in Dubai at the World Expo representing the USA as a Youth Ambassador.
Katrina began her career in STEM as an electrical and systems engineer. She jumped on the opportunity to expand her knowledge base by taking roles in strategy, business development and project management. She continues to showcase her commitment to her local community by being an active member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, Society of Women Engineers, and the National Society of Black Engineers. In 2019, Katrina was awarded the Rising Star in Technology Award by the Women of Color STEM Conference.
Katrina holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University. She also earned a certification in Leadership Principles from MIT.
